Course description
Drama (Year 3 - Year 6) is a unique (and fun!) mix of Stage Acting and Acting for Camera over 3 hours. Young people learn about each in equal measure as the sessions are split 50/50, just like the BA Acting degree students here at ArtsEd!
Skills and techniques are developed, and confidence built, through games, activities, and projects that encourage learning and teamwork.
Stage Acting classes cover:
- Improvisation
- Movement
- Script & ensemble work
Screen Acting classes focus on:
- Learning how to 'act for camera'
- Technical skills such as crew roles, how to operate camera equipment, angles & continuity
- Scene work
Each class lasts approximately 1 hour 20 minutes with a break in between.
Parent/Carer Information:
Students should wear comfortable clothing they can move around in and soft shoes or trainers. Please bring a bottle of water and a snack (strictly no nuts).
